Scholarship is an aspect that our chapter has consitently been improving for the past few years now. For three years in a row, our chapter GPA has been increasing. To take it a step further, during the Spring 2026 semester we have rebuilt the study hours system in our by-laws. Our chapter is putting a focus on academics as a stronger academic portfolio will represent our chapter and fraternity in a much more positive light.
During the Spring 2026 semester, we completely rebuilt our study hours system to make them more efficient. Firstly, anyone below a 2.8 GPA must complete all four study hours while those above the threshold only have to complete 2. We also began tracking our hours to improve the accountability of our members. As of April 19th, we have completed 311 hours of study hours.
As a result of rebuilding our study hours system and tracking our hours, we recieved the Outstanding Academic Initiative Award at the conclusion of the 2026 Greek Week. ESU recognized our efforts in improving the chapter's academic initiative.
As of Spring 2026, we have three members who have been initiated into Order of Omega, the Greek Life Honor Society. Our members are leading the way academically and truly embodying this pillar of KDR.
